Hello everyone! Hello, @theanimerealm. It's been such a long time since I last posted in this community. I had a lot of activities going on this month. Remember when I told you that I'm in my final year? So we had our project pre-data this month and other class tests that I must prepare for, and my exam is coming next month (starting April 2). So much has been going on. Since we recently finished my test, I had a little free time to join this month's contest, and I'll try my best to continue.
I want to start this contest by taking the bull by the horn. I decided to go with the winter anime in 2024, which I'm very much watching. In fact, I have some that I'll like to talk about in my future posts.
In this post, I'll like to talk about an anime called "Metallic Rogue.". Before going into the details about how I like this anime, let me first get down to the details of the plot.
PLOT
The anime introduces a planet (called Mars) where humans and robots (well, I call them robots because that's how they behave) live together. They are normally called "Neans.". These Neans were created by another species of aliens called "visitors.". In the movie, it was seen that the Neans do not leave on an equal standard with the humans, where they're forced to live as human slaves through the "Ashimov Code," which was implanted into their system. This code was obviously implemented as a fear of humans with the Neans because of their power and brute strength. This Ashimov Code forced them into a tight angle, making them obey humans, and they're also forced to use injections, which sustain them, and the only people in control of those injections are humans.
At the center of the story lies the protagonist, "Rogue Redstar," along with her partner, "Naomi Orthmann," who is given a secret mission to kill some classified Neans that oppose the government. These neans are known as the Immortal Nine. Rogue is a specialized Nean that was not bound by the Ashimov Code as other Neans and has the mindset of free will. As she goes through the process, she's trying to remember her origin and how she came to be as they face their adventures and ordeals.
I came to know this anime through a post on WhatsApp status by my anime friend. Normally, his status was always full of high-resolution videos, which always made me skip his status, but that day, I mistakenly clicked his status, and I was glued to the screen when watching the status. Immediately, I asked him, and he gave me the name. That's why I was able to start the anime. Now I'm at the current episode.
First, this anime has a really nice storyline with a simple concept, and as it's going, I'm really anticipating it. Too bad it won't be long (about 12 episodes or so); it's still at episode 10. I hope they finish it and start season 2. Moreover, the concept that fascinates me about this anime is the Ashimov Code, or the Ashimov Law. In a course we're offering in school, "Robotics," we're being taught the laws of robotics, which we stated and understood, but when watching the anime, the laws of robotics are related to the Ashimov Code, which really surprised me that I'm seeing what's taught in class being used in anime. I love it.
Secondly, their fights are interesting. It is a must-watch for me. I love the way they transition from human to robot in a second and how they fight. The mechanized sound they make when fighting is amazing.
I personally love the protagonist, "Rogue Redstar." She's like a very innocent girl who only acts on orders. At first, she undertakes orders without thinking through things, but as time goes, she'll think through them as if they were the concept of free will, which makes her deviate from missions and create a whole new level of adventure. What fascinates me about her is her power to transition to robot during fights; everything just goes off during her fights with other robots.
Overall, the art is simple and clean, and the graphics is okay. You can watch the anime in all its graphics, but don't use 360p (it's not really good). The storyline is also simple and interesting, and the music is okay, though I didn't really pay much attention to it, but it's okay.
So that's the end of my post. I hope you enjoyed it. See you in my future posts.
