We are about halfway into Winter Season 2022 for Anime and this is my favorite so far!
Its a comedy so the plot isn't really deep. To put it simply, the protagonist Kuroitsu-san is an employee at the monster development department of an evil organization, Agastia, and her job is create a monster powerful enough to defeat the superheroes.
A lot of the jokes in this show is poking fun of the top down hierarchy in Japanese organizations. For example, my favorite character in the show, Wolf Bete was supposed to be a wolfman but at the last minute was abruptly changed to become a wolfgirl due to an order from the leader of Agastia. Due to budget and timing restrictions, they never changed her mind to become a girl so the ongoing joke is that she gets upset for being treated as a girl (like being called Wolf-chan instead of Wolf-kun).
Wolf-kun or Wolf-chan? Doesn't matter to me! :3
Another example of this organizational top down hierarchy joke is when they developed the Thunderbird Cannon. Due to having to develop this monster with input from different departments, they had to keep revising the design. The original proposal from the Monster Development Department looked like this:
But after taking inputs from different departments and revising the design multiple times, they ended up with the following:
Aren't teamwork great!?
Anyways, if you liked Anime titles like "Meikyuu Black Company" or "Sentouin, Hakenshimasu!", I highly recommend this one. I think the jokes and premise is pretty similar to those 2 recent Anime titles. As in being part of an evil organization and having cute anime girls with big tits. I mean, isn't that what we all want?
