Ace no Diamond

I don't think Baseball is a really famous sport. It's like basketball but rated lower in terms of popularity. At first,I didn't really like the idea of the sport. I mean I didn't like it. It had similar references to lacrosse and to me lacrosse made much more sense than baseball. I think this anime opened my eyes to that. Any sport is incredible, the main thing is the fondness. The likeness and want for the sport. It's like watching something you love and then finding out someone hates what you extremely like. Leaving you in shock not awe.

"Ace of the Diamond" (or "Diamond no Ace") is an exhilarating sports anime that'll spike anyone who loves the thrill of competition and the bonds of friendship up. The story revolves around Eijun Sawamura, a fiery and passionate pitcher whose unique style and determination set him apart. After a dramatic game that showcases his raw talent, he gets the chance of a lifetime to join Seido High School, a powerhouse in the baseball world.

From the moment Eijun steps onto the field, you can feel the intensity in the air. The anime does an incredible job of capturing the highs and lows of high school baseball, from the nail-biting moments during games to the emotional struggles of the players. Eijun's journey is not just about becoming the ace; it's about finding his place within a team filled with diverse personalities, each bringing their own flair to the game.

The character development in "Ace of the Diamond" is one of its strongest points. Eijun starts as a raw talent, but as he faces challenges and learns from his teammates, he grows into a formidable player. His relationship with Kazuya Miyuki, the cool-headed catcher, adds a layer of depth to the story. Their different styles and personalities create a dynamic that not only enhances the gameplay but also brings out the best in each other. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and you can't help but root for them as they face their rivals. Like I said and probably @Tegoshei said, they're a lot of pairable characters in sport anime. That's why there's always a lot of shopping pf characters.

Visually, the anime is a treat. The animation during the baseball matches is fluid and exciting, making every pitch and swing feel impactful. The attention to detail in the players' movements and the way the games are portrayed draws you into the action. You can almost feel the adrenaline rush as the stakes get higher, and the tension builds with each minutes and this is one of the thing I love about sport animes.

The soundtrack also deserves a shout-out. It's really good.

However, like any series, "Ace of the Diamond" has its quirks. Some might find the pacing a bit slow in the beginning, as it spends time fleshing out character backstories. But trust me, it pays off as the series progresses. The character arcs become more engaging, and the balance between personal growth and thrilling baseball action becomes more pronounced.

Although,I didn't really complete the anime,it was really good. It kept me on my toes with anxiety and expectations when I was watching it. It was really wholesome and I really enjoyed it.

And again guys. Peep my standardized way of writing. I've been reading again but this time I've been willing to sacrifice everything too much. Help.

Okay now I see the writing 😂😂

I watched Boukukyo Battery though...
Lovely anime about baseball but it's mostly in the comedy aspect...

I'm glad you do!
You don't listen to me when I give book recs, would've made you read that one. But you don't like me like that, sigh.😠

I have not heard of Boukukyo Battery before. What's it about? Baseball? Well, you said that but tell me more.

I made a review about it...

I'll send you the link..

This anime is just sleeping on my watchlist. I know its good, i've seen lots of good review about it in some social media, but I can't find the time to watch it. Maybe because i'm also not into sport. I can count on my fingers the number of anime series that I have watch, my top is Haikyuu by the way, hehe. Anyways, thanks for the review, now I have more reason to watch it 😫😆😆

I completely relate with you concerning the lack of time. It's like the hours in a day isn't even up to 24 hours anymore. I have no time for anything, probaby because i procastinate alot also🥲
I haven't seen Haikyuu. I tried the first episode sometime last week and I had to drop it cause i wasn't feeling it.

I haven't seen this anime, in fact I don't remember watching any anime that has to do with sports. I can tell you that in each country there is a sport that, let's say, shines over others for being the favorite. For example, here it's baseball, in Argentina and Brazil it's soccer.

But if this anime managed to make you feel inside the game, it accomplished its mission. Here there are two teams that when they go to face each other, they fill the stadiums and the atmosphere is unique. Greetings

For example, here it's baseball, in Argentina and Brazil it's soccer.

I forgot to put this into consideration. You're entirely correct. It's different for different countries. My apologies for speaking low a bit about baseball at first.

It's a lovely anime, trust me. you'd enjoy it. Something to take your mind off what's bothering you,a temporary distraction. That's what I used it for🤓

I recommend you continue the series. It only gets better especially Dia no Ace: Act II... It's one of my faves... and I guess my fave baseball anime so far. Though I enjoyed Major, but Dia no Ace's matches and gameplays are so exciting to watch... especially the fielders are so cool! (shortstop and 2nd baseman) combi is always exhilarating for me. :)

Thanks for the mention...
PS: I love Chris Yu-senpai so much... hahaha

Hiiiiiiiiiiii! I've been so packed in the outside world,so sorry I'm replying now. I've finished the anime and it was really good! I'm currently reading a book I'm obsessed with so I'll have to hold my hand up a bit when it comes to anime watching but yes I did notice Chris Yu-senpai...haha

No worries! :)

Great! My mom and I just finished rewatching the first season. We started season 2 last night and plan to watch Act II in a couple of weeks. It’s a bit slow-paced since I have to go to work too. hahaha

Enjoy your book! ^^

Thankyou @tegoshei . Unfortunately for the world and fortunately for me,the book doesn't want to end and I'm not bothered. They way I'm so zoned in,glad I'm not in school yet. And this is one of the reasons I can't read books in school cause I can't be distracted from the world when my future is on the line, sigh
And when you do finish Act II, I'd like to hear about it please 🥰

Being an adult is hard... it's great to escape sometimes... hahaha

Act II was amazing... I watched it a few years ago... :)

Ohhh, and I literally just turned on. Guess, I signed for a bumpy ride without my actual consent.

In the Caribbean and in the USA baseball is a popular sport, here in my country it is the number one sport.

I have always heard positive reviews of Ace no Diamond, especially with how smooth the animation is when they are on the field.

Thanks for sharing!

It's a wonderful anime, honestly speaking.
And also,I apologize for not putting into consideration the fact baseball might actually be a top sport in other part of the world before writing this post.
I'm glad you liked my review.
Thankyou for commenting

se ve interesante aunque no vea mucho de este género, y la animación genial, buen post!

looks interesting even though I don't see much of this genre, and the animation great, good post!

Oh, muchas gracias señora. Me alegro que te haya gustado mi reseña. Y lo entiendo completamente; No a todo el mundo le fascina la idea del anime deportivo y está bien.

I'm not a big fan of sports anime, however this story seems to have interesting characters and a plot that would be worth watching.
Thanks for the summary.

Hello.. So sorry I'm replying now, been caught up with a lot of things in the outside world. And yes,the anime was reslly good. I liked the way characters interacted with each other.
