Sometimes good people make bad choices. It doesn't mean they're bad people. It means they're human.

Hello community. I have missed you guys. The previous two weeks have been really hectic and unnerving. I've been down to hanging onto my last straw of sanity and nearly shoving my fist into a wall. It's been good.

There was this song by Chase Atlantic, Consume that I was listening to. I remember writing a review about it and learning how the song came about due to an inspiration from Toyko Ghoul. I had it on my laptop, so I decided I'd just rewatch it to try to get myself back and think normal thoughts.

Toyko Ghoul is a four season anime written by Sui Ishida with its first season airing sometime around 2014. There's this prospect I've been wanting to address, concerning social medias and recommendations gotten from them. I get a lot of recommendations from them so I know it first hand. I don't really like reading the comments concerning a particular anime that I'm interested in its edit. I mean I'm probably being sensitive and indirectly not respecting other people's feelings about whatever it is they watch. But the idea of completely badmouthing a show alot of people liked doesn't sit right with me. Even if it wasn't good or to your liking, you could just say it politely and add a bit of humor to it. No need to come around, spreading weird vibes all around.

Toyko Ghoul revolves around Ken Kaneki. Ken Kaneki is an introverted and shy college student who is also an avid reader. His life takes a huge and dramatic turn when he goes on a date with a girl named Rize Kamishiro, who turned out to be a ghoul. Ghouls are supernatural creatures that resembles humans but are primarily known for their ability to consume human flesh. They also have enhanced features like speed, regeneration and strength.
After a series of event, Rize attempts to eat Kaneki but an incident occured causing her death. Kaneki survives the encounter but unknowingly undergoes an experimental surgery and had Rize's organs transplanted into his body, causing him to turn into a ghoul.

"Tell me. Why does bad things happen to good people all the time?"

Kaneki struggles with his new identity, trying to dampen and grapple with the insatiable hunger for human flesh that comes with being a ghoul. He tries to adapt, discovering and getting to know other ghouls, that helps him understand the changes occuring in his body and how to go about it. He is taken in by the members of a certain cafe,Anteiku, a safe haven for ghouls who mean no harm to the community and to humans.

Throughout the anime,we see Kaneki's struggles with becoming to ghoul whilst trying desperately to hold onto his humanity. Toyko Ghoul is an emotional striken anime, with all the heart breaking stories being told, you're reminded again how the world is really not it in a way. You feel things. Things that doesn't relate or concerns you in a way. Toyko Ghoul has a lot of gore and really sad scenes. I mean,Kaneki was just a good, normal and boring kid, minding his own business..He didn't deserve that. He didn't deserve any of that, any of what he went through.

'She said, "Careful or you'll lose it"

But girl, I'm only human

And I know there's a blade where your heart is

And you know how to use it

And you can take my flesh if you want, girl

But baby, don't abuse it

These voices in my head, screaming, "Run now"

I'm praying that they're human'

If you don't mind seeing excess blood and random organs here and there on your tv or phone screen,I think you should watch Toyko Ghoul,if you haven't. It's a really good anime. Although,it dropped a little after season 1. Alot of complaints were made about how the other seasons could've done better. This is one of those animes that definitely deserve a remake cause it is 'up there'.
Thanks for reading;)

A veces, las personas buenas toman malas decisiones. No significa que sean malas personas. Significa que son humanas.

Hola, comunidad. Los he extrañado.

Y puedes tomar mi carne si quieres, niña

It was the first anime I saw in broadcasting and for which I decided to read the manga, there were important changes in the anime, but it was still one of my favorites in its time ❤️

I didn't complete the manga cause I was busy at some point but I will definitely do that now. Heard the manga is way better than the anime itself.

When I watch this series, I was always excited especially during fighting scene and the intro of the song "Unravel" will start to play. It's been a long time, I kinda forgot some scene of this anime. Maybe I should rewatch it too 😻.

I loved the intro song so so much! @seki can contest!😭
You should definitely rewatch it!😍.
Let's not forget Kaneki's best friend. Heaven knows how much I shipped the both of them;)

This anime is quite interesting, and since I don't mind seeing blood I think I'll give it a chance, because the plot caught my attention right away.

I'm so excited! First, because you said you'd watch it. And second, cause it caught your attention! It's so good,I won't even try to lie or exaggerate!
If you eventually watch it and decide to write a review about it, don't forget to tag me so I can squeal in the comments!😉

I never felt special attraction to watch this anime, but I know it has a large fandom, so I guess it must be worth it. What I do like about this anime is its opening “Unravel”, it's a song I always listen to.

Thanks for sharing with the community. See you soon!

Everyone loves the opening song!😭 It was beautiful and it stayed my ringtone for three months last year!

Always willing to be with the community and share peak stuff with you guys;)

I had read its manga, and it's really great. You'll really say that Sui Ishida's art style evolved as it progressed. Yes... A lot of people were really complaining that the animation did bad, but personally I think it was decent. I've seen worse anime adaptations, so I guess those viewers just expected too much—but that's not really a nice reason to badmouth the ones who animated it because we can't really expect that it would be animated straight like it was portrayed in the manga...

So yeah, hopefully one of these days I can watch its anime (I didn't finish it because I got impatient and switched to manga ahaha).

You impatient lady!😭😂 You should find time to watch the anime, maybe during Christmas or something!
I haven't read the manga but I think I have it in my Christmas break bookings! I can't wait to leave this school and go home. Been in it for just two weeks and I already feel and look like shit.

You impatient lady!😭😂

Ahahaha yeah I am! And like you, I'm really looking forward to our Christmas break. School stuff are starting to take a toll on me ahuhuhuhu...

I really missed its opening song, and it's been years since I last watched the early eps (back then my impatience got better of me, so I ditched it for manga!). Hopefully, our Christmas break is long because I'm really planning on binge-watching a lot of anime during that break!

I really liked TG a lot, but they made too many bad decisions regarding its anime adaptation that I feel made people lose interest in it, I always recommend 100% to read the manga.

I definitely need to read that manga then..
