I am amazed by my consistency these past few days and I'm quite proud of myself for writing and drawing continously these past few days ^^
Since it's still a work day for me, I can't really do that much personal stuff but at least I got to finish this one that I was sketching over my morning break.
Materials: blue pen, white pen, blue ink
Duration: 2 hours
And the poem for this one today is:
"My lips have gone cold and blue from missing the warmth of yours"
which isn't so good for an original poem, I guess ^^ but it's a start for poet zell 🤣
I don't think I was meant to be a poet anyways so it's fine if it sucks. As long as the art is good, it can make up for a lot of things ^^
As for my art progression
I had inked a few pages of paper in blue ink and a few in yellow and in color combination but my paper folder got wet during the recwnt storms here and the ink just bled over everything and gave paper combination of a lot of colors. I like how this page came out despite the blotch of green though so I kind of just chose this to sketch on. Since I was thinking a monotone would be good this time, I kept everything in blue and it sort of fit the theme I was going for with the blue lips.
so this was the lightest blue pen color I had and I built up the layers by looking for a darker blue then eventually a black pen since it wouldn't be me if the drawing did not have enough depth to it.
Then this was the final shot I got to take. While I was working on the blending and the highlights simultaneously. cuz O didn't want my highlights to be that overpowering, but i also still wanted to blend it into the color scheme. So in these cases, I usually blend and highlight together to keep the harm. plus the lios were not meant to be strong so there was no need to add an additional white layer. And that was it!
That's all from me for today, guys! Thanks for stopping by ^^ I hope I can start doing more digi art again, but let's see how much screen time I get later since I do limit my digi art to the amount of screen time I'm forced to endure at work.
