I have reached day 13 and this amount of consistency really makes me hopeful for inktober. I currently am already making sketches and ideas to go with the prompts ^^ But for now, I definitely want to enjoy my river day ^^
Say 13's phobia is Phasmophobia, which is a fear of ghosts, apparition and other supernatural phenomena. It kind of reminds me of xenophobia a bit since these things are also huge unknowns, But then, when you say ghost, It's a little more specific to just ghosts compared to xenophobia where you will generally fear everything unknown to you.
Materials: Rainbow pen, Alcohol markers, chalk, white pen.
Duration: 1 hour
I know I could have done better with this, but I honestly just did this as a speed draw while digesting my food over lunch XD it's a little dangerous to swim again after such a heavy meal, after all XD
I honestly made it a point to just give this an hour because I wasn't that interested in drawing today XD and why draw when there's water... but my drawing streak ;;-;; I wanted to maintain it. I know I could have just gone with a cute ghost but I don't know why the idea only occurred to me now XD Well, whatever, I'm done with my ghost anyways, but who knows, I might make another ghost in November when inktober is said and done XD
Now for the process, since I went for a quick draw since I'm still out, I started my base with alcohol markers
So I went with all the shades of warm gray I had to give it that vintage brown look of a crumbling house. And I did try to experiment the browns on a different page, it just didn't give me the shades I was looking for.
After I did my base, I then used my brown and black pens to give the house some definition. Sadly The lines I was making wasn't so noticeable. I could barely make out any details even after I spent a while layering the colors. After awhile, I gave up and decided to add my ghost shape and body with a black pen.
Then I chalked it very lightly so that I could still see the ghost, I wanted to do oe more pen layer over it but my black pen wouldn't ink over the chalk layer, so I decided to finalize it by adding the white ink layer as a finish up. I did try to add a bit of highlights in the surrounding room, but it definitely was not obvious enough.
And there you have it folks, my ghost XD
I feel like this will be another series of bad drawings for the next few days... I hope not! But I personally am just happy I haven't broken my streak yet ^^ So maybe even if the drawing isn't at the level I want it to be, I'd still post it because I just realized I haven't been doing much trad art before sketchtember so that explains why I think I forgot my art skills lately.
Anyways, that is day 13 ^^ 18 more days to go and 18 more days to see if I can be consistent this month XD
