The girl who needs warmth is a Procreate drawing I have made in order to illustrate the idea of avoidant attachment. You might wonder what attachment style has to do with digital art. Well I find it easier to express what I feel through art.
We can see that the woman is fully dressed in very comfy clothing. She has long hair to keep her extra warm yet she feels that it is not enough.
The big candle offers a warming environment. A safe one. But those who have an avoidant attachment style will always feel that there is no warmth coming from the outside world. No matter how much love they receive they never feel loved fully. It is because of their core beliefs about love that they feel this way.
I am sure that any person with avoidant attachment style would admit it to themselves, after doing serious therapy work, that they were loved and cared for but they were too blind to see it.
The clothes that we wear are like the extra layers of protection against what we perceive as being a threat.
Could she enjoy the warmth of the candle and have the courage to let go of the protective cocoon?
P.S. I loved putting the little nose piercing detail hahaha. Pretty fancy right?
