I'm thrilled to be participating in this week's Splinterlands art contest. I would be entering this weeks art contest with a graphite drawing of The Undead Priest, a Splinterlands character. Yes, that's a pharaoh's mummy, and it took me a while to do this drawing. I've spent a lot of time comparing a few Splinterlands card characters to some of my everyday favorite animations, and I have to admit that the creators are geniuses. I simply adore how they transform something so commonplace into something spectacular, and I suppose I do the same thing. I take the Splinterland persona and give them my own interpretation of how I see them. You really get an Egyptian feeling from this drawing, which makes you want to explore further.
- Reference
The steps to my drawing are as follows: I used a 2B pencil for the preliminary sketch and a 10B Bianyo pencil for the main sketch and some pencil crayons. The face of the image, with its amazing folds and marks that give him a ferocious, spooky appearance, is my favorite feature of the drawing. Its actually took more of my time than i expected but guess it's the normal drill. My drawing approach provides a clearer explanation.
