I hope you are feeling great and happy Friday, today I share with you my process of this portrait of one of my favorite actresses Anya Taylor-Joy in her role as Sandie in the movie Last Night in Soho which is also one of my favorite movies of last year, a movie full of retro fashion, lots of style, mystery and suspense, I hope you like it and I invite you to read me! ❤️✨
- Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 2 HB y un borrador (corté mi borrador haciendo que las esquinas quedarán en punta así será más fácil borrar espacios pequeños), mis colores, un marcador negro y rojo y un corrector líquido blanco.
- What I used to make the drawing in traditional on a cardboard type sheet size 35 x 28 cm, a graphite pencil 2 HB and an eraser (I cut my eraser making the corners to be pointed so it will be easier to erase small spaces), my colors, a black and red marker and a white liquid corrector.
Comencé haciendo el boceto del retrato usando de referencia una imagen de una de las escenas de la película, al tenerlo listo use una paleta de colores como la de la imagen, fui construyendo su tono de piel con un color durazno y un naranja, para las sombras use un color lila, pinte con color negro los ojos y detalle las cejas y los labios, fui pintando poco a poco sus labios usando rojo, rosado y durazno para unir los tonos y luego mezclando color durazno y rosado fui haciendo el color de su rostro, en sus mejillas, en su nariz, debajo de sus ojos, mentón y en el cuello poco a poco haciendo el tono de su piel. Con un color marrón claro fui pintando las raíces de su cabello y también lo usé de base para el color de sus cejas, luego use un color marrón oscuro para hacer las raíces un poco más oscuras, unifique el tono de su rostro usando un color blanco y rosado y rojo para el rubor, con color negro hice sus pestañas y con color rojo fui pintando todo el mentón y parte de sus labios con manchas desiguales para hacer el efecto de sangre derramada.
I started sketching the portrait using as a reference an image of one of the scenes of the movie, when I had it ready I used a palette of colors like the one in the image, I built her skin tone with a peach and an orange color, for the shadows I used a lilac color, I painted with black color the eyes and detail the eyebrows and lips, I painted little by little her lips using red, pink and peach to unite the tones and then mixing peach and pink color I made the color of her face, on her cheeks, on her nose, under her eyes, chin and neck little by little making the tone of her skin. With a light brown color I painted the roots of her hair and also used it as a base for the color of her eyebrows, then I used a dark brown color to make the roots a little darker, I unified the tone of her face using a white and pink color and red for the blush, with black color I made her eyelashes and with red color I painted all the chin and part of her lips with uneven spots to make the effect of spilled blood.
Continúe haciendo los brillos de sus ojos, nariz, labios, aretes y un poco de la sangre en su barbilla con el corrector líquido blanco. I went on to make the sparkles for her eyes, nose, lips, earrings and a little bit of the blood on her chin with the white liquid concealer. I painted her hair using a mustard yellow color to match the brown tones of the roots and then used a pale yellow to make the color of all her hair, with silver, black and red I made her necklace and with a red marker I made a layer of red on it. I continued painting her hair and when I reached the area of the tips I used a red color to simulate blood in her hair, with a red marker with little ink I painted a full layer of color on her dress and then I made shadows with red and the folds of her dress.
Este es el resultado del dibujo, use de nuevo el marcador sin tinta para sombrear con rojo en las partes de la sangre y ya por último para terminar el dibujo use el corrector líquido blanco para los brillos en su vestido, en su collar e hice algunas estrellas en sus accesorios. Me gustó mucho el resultado sobretodo porque tenía un tiempo sin dibujar algo con este estilo gore o sangriento además de que siempre quise dibujar a este personaje de la película porque me parece de los más interesante al igual que toda la trama de la película. Sin duda, una vez más Anya destacando en el mundo de la actuación con un personaje lleno de mucho misterio y belleza. ❤️✨
This is the result of the drawing, I used again the marker without ink to shade with red in the parts of the blood and finally to finish the drawing I used the white liquid corrector for the shines in her dress, in her necklace and I made some stars in her accessories. I really liked the result especially because I hadn't drawn something with this gore or bloody style for a while and I always wanted to draw this character from the movie because it seems to me one of the most interesting as well as the whole plot of the movie. Undoubtedly, once again Anya standing out in the world of acting with a character full of much mystery and beauty. ❤️✨
