Welcome to my art submission to @radaquest contest
How are you today? Hope you are feeling good!😌
Today I want to share to you my artwork.
This is called Tikbalang.
The Tikbalang is a creature of Philippine Folklore with a tall, bony humanoid (half human half horse) creature with the head and hooves of a horse and disproportionately long limbs, to the point that its knees reach above its head when it squats down. For more information click here.
It is like a werewolf but instead it is half human half horse, basically a werehorse. I like to do a chibi version of it.
Without further ado, join me walk through the process of creation and hope you have fun as the art progress from the start to finish.

Art Process
First, I focus on creating the character and do a rough sketch for the pose. When doing the pose I keep it lose within the strokes and adjust accordingly to what fit most. I also add some trees and trunk of wood at the background.
The second image is where I do the clean line art. Like a tracing paper I add another layer on top of the rough sketch while decreasing the opacity of it. That way I could do better line quality on top of it.
✨✨✨
In here, I added the base color of every parts of the character. I did it in one layer so that it would not be very confusing to me later on.
Base colors are basically flat colors. The main color of the object without any light or shadow.
The next image here is where I add some color variations on the leaves.
✨✨✨
I add some shade areas on the wood trunk.
In the next image I add some highlights on the trunk and leaves.
✨✨✨
Then I added some shadow to the Tikbalang character.
Followed by adding highlights and color variation.

Final Artwork
Final step to my process is adding color the line art. It adds a bit of style to it. I also add some shine light to his eye.😁
