For this week's challenge, I chose Drybone Raider!
Art Process
My draft was supposed to be for the art contest but truthfully, I don't understand the guidelines. It is my fault for not knowing SPS DAO ahead. So, my entry for the social media challenge is a bit early for this week.
I got a nice pose for this card. I tried eperimenting doing the outer lineart first then the inner lines. I used a solid brush with an opacity dynamic of 40. This setting is found under the gear icon of the brush.
Then, I used the bucket tool to fill the spaces. I manually drew the red tattoos using a solid brush. At first, the skin was lighter and then I realized, it looked better with an undertone of blue. Next, I applied the shadows of the skin, clothing, and hair.
I worked more on the shadowing by using an airbrush. Worked on it more by using a blur brush and a smudge brush.
I added glow to the hair using a flat brush and erased the hard edges.
Final Art
Lastly, added a simple background of gray. I added a blue glow on the back to highlight the character itself. Added a noise filter for texture.
Finished art! 💖✨
