Summer is freaking here where I am from. π₯΅ It is hard to workout when it is very humid, and so decreases the reps because I can just feel the warm air through my nose. Speaking of Summer, it reminds me of going to the beach especially on Holy Week.
In connection to that, I chose a water element for this week's entry. Did you see what I did there? π

Before starting to draw, I first open Pinterest to look for references. I typed
in "Bikini" and nothing came out. π€£ Maybe the word bikini is too mature for the site. So, I typed in "beach", "tropical", any thing related to water since the character is a water element.
I do not like to be complicated this time so it is easier for me to finish. Ahh~ March is a hectic month for me, but making art is my relaxation. I want to open my drawing software after a mundane day~ This is the vibe that I am looking for, but this pose reference.
I am thinking of the character standing on a shallow water. In the background would be some rocky mountains, clouds, and birds. The background color would be a gradient blue sky.
I am also using a very thin pen here unlike the previous work that I did. My style is more like on the anime art style side.
The shadows are basically color-picked from the base color, im multiply layer. I used a soft and hard airbrush on the edges, assuming the source light is coming for the upper left corner.
Ooops, somethimes I forgot to switch layers. Look at the bangs. π€£ It is okay, though, it will be covered up.
Adding the purple glow on the skin. It was satisfying putting it on the thighs. I also used purple for the clothing detail, clipped purple and white glows. π
Background time! π«ππ₯³
The gradient is a default color from the software, saves time! I just have to get the perfect proportions of color for this art, though.
Instead of just straight horizon of the water, I put it on a concave upward, just to make it different. π On the far backgrounds are rocky mountains. These are made with a paid brush from the asset store. I used it in the last entry I made. π I just airbrush them with a darker shade of brown.
Next is the froth of the water. Gad, this was the most difficult part! I tries twice to get the organic froth but it was not working. π₯Ί Last resort is to buy a brush in asset store. I saw a brush but not that good so I have to figure it out still. I spent 10 Clippy points. π€
Final Art
Ariiight! π₯° I just put random clouds and made sure that both sides are balanced. I put little clouds too to fill some dead spaces. I blur the edges to have a softer shoosh. Notice the seagulls? π₯° I blur them just a little bit.
Put some Glows on the crown and on the upper left corner as the source of light. Okay, that curve line is not a mistake π I intentional put that like those random fogs from planes, haha!
Tadaaa~ Finised art of River Nymph in my style! π₯°
Thanks for reading~ π
