I am happy to say that I will have a long vacation this week, wohoo! 😁 Prolly we will go somewhere away from the daily stress routine. Usually, during the holy week (which is heavily observed in my country), people pray, fast, go to the beach, or just stay at home to rest. Hmmm... I am not really a religious person but I still observe those mentioned. So as not to spoil the long weekend, I prioritized making my entry this week! 😁
I chose Iza the Fanged to draw this time! 🥳🐍

Sketch & Concept
Since it is Summer and sunny outta here, I thought of something colorful and fun. 🥳 I thought of the streets and graffiti. I love seeing colorful and witty graffiti whenever I pass murals or graffiti in the city. Though, some are pure vandalism, which sucks. 😞 I prefer those inspirational and well-thought street art.
I used a light pencil for the sketch. I was looking for a snake reference, but ended up just getting the character pose. Last night, I mentioned to @solumviz that I saw that his references were from Deviantart. Dang~ The references were so much better than Pinterest! I will use Deviantart next time. 😅
Anyway~ in my style, I gave Iza a long hair and winky expression. I chose a terracotta orangey-ish color for the background to mimick a brick wall. I learned the color terracotta from @jude.villarta, actually. 🤣 Usually, a clay pot pops on mind when I think of terracotta.
I did not color-picked the colors from the original art but instead, manually picked them from the color wheel. The top and pants are the same color, and then the gloves and dark, mossy green. The hair's color is a shade of dark blue with strands of white hair. I spent a lot of time on the eyes a lot to make sure I got the right expression. The pupil's are yellow just like the snakes. I also already included the bricks on the background.
Now for the shading! It is not often that I shade for the abdomen muscle, so I just look at my abs as a reference. 😂 (I wish) HAH- just kidding! I searched for pictures of those athletic bodies of women. Usually, mens' are most structured compared to womens' (Welp, Science). Also, an exercise for me to work on my shadings. Next is the clothing's shading. I do not know if I am getting better or worse 🤣 It is a love and hate relationship with shading. I mix cell and soft shading. Most anime use cell shading, which is a big influence in my art style~
I downloaded a snake brush for Iza's tattoo. I changed the position and form in my style. I used the mesh trans so that it will not look flat. Aside from the tattoo, I made another layer for the glowing venom coming out from the mouth dripping on the chin to the breast.
Putting graffiti on the brick wall is the most enjoyable part of this art! 🥳 Those designs are some of my downloaded brushes from the past. I chose colorful and neon colors. Some designs are tribal and hatching. I also wrote my name on the lower part. My logo is also part of the grafitti. 😁😍☺️
Final Art
Did you notice my Grumpea? 🥰 It is one of my NFT collections on Opensea~ I still am continuing to produce NFTs from time to time, but I am more focused now on NFT Showroom.
I added glows of green to the edge of the character. I put all layers to one folder and clip the Add Glow effect. I added more light sources on top and shading more on the hair.
Tadaaa~ Finished art!! ✨🟣🔅🟩🌈🟧💥🟨💫
