Hi, Aliens!
I am happy that I am on the list of winners of last week's contest! 🥳 Congrats to all winners and entries. You may check the list and rules here, if you wanna join the art contest.
For this week, I chose Vampire.
Art Process
I want to draw an Ikemen vampire for this card. 😁 Often, we imagine vampires as scary and grotesque-looking creatures. In my version, I will draw a vampire that sure ladies are willing to be sucked their blood out. 😆
I sketched using two different colors to separate the body and the clothing. I drew a more simple version of the clothing. I will be adding a cross pendant holding the chain for the cape. In the background, I will be adding the red moon, clouds, and bats.
Next is applying the base colors in separate layers. I ditched the details on the belt since I will be adding a detailed chain and cross pendant later for the cape. I applied the shadows to show depths on the clothing, and the same for the hair. Noticed that I omitted the gloves left hand.
Now, I added the red glow on the eye to make it more vampiric. Usually, vampires are white pale skinned, but for this card, I chose a light blue for the skin. This vampire just freshly sucked someone so why not add some blood stains on the mouth. For the chains and pendant, I used a downloaded brush for the asset store. I just had to search for the most suited structure/image for the character. The background is dark blue with hints of red using a texture brush.
Final Art
For the background, I downloaded an image of the moon and then clipped it with a red glow. The clouds were created using a puffy cloud brush. I just adjusted the opacity to show softness on the edges. Since the moon is a glowing object, I added some glow on the character in the direction of the moon. I added some bat elements using images and then edited them to look like moving. Lastly, added noise dots for texture.
Finished art!! 🥰 I enjoyed doing this art.
