For this week, I chose Divine Healer! 🥰 I gave the card a little bit of a twist. Here is my art process.
Art Process
I wanted to make a version of Divine Healer in her younger years. A happy and delightful expression would fit this character. And since it was her teen years, I wanted to change her clothing. For the background, I thought of making simple sakura branches and falling petals.
However, in her younger years, I did not change the color of her hair. I wanted to emphasize her silver hair and the color of her clothing. For the eyes, I chose a blue color. I worked on the base colors first and applied shadows.
Intensifying the shadows by incorporating cell shadows. I used a blur brush to soften hard edges. Next, I applied the shine using glow dodge, flat brush, and airbrush.
Final Process
The sakura flower is a brush that can be downloaded from the asset store. I manually drew the branches by using a solid brush. I blur them out to make the character stand out. I added some glow to make the flowers against the light. The falling petals are also downloadable brush. Added a noise filter, and tadaa~
Finished art! ✨🌸
