For this week's challenge, I chose Cave Slug to draw in a female human. ๐
Art Process
My vision for this version is a tiny female human, just like Thumbelina, in a slimy form. The hair, clothing, and skin would be a gooey green liquid. I ditched the eyebrows this time because I do not feel it would fit the character. I added the four antennas just like those of slugs.
For the base color, I used the analogous complementary palette of greens. I chose purple eyes to match the green color. On top of the layers, I began putting the pink blush on the cheeks and into the skin.
Here, I applied a glow of yellow on the lower portion to give contrast to the shadow hovering over the character. I intensify the glow by copying the layer and adjusting it. Next is layering up the background. I thought of putting some red mushrooms. I used the cell brush to individually draw the parts of the mushroom so that layer on I can adjust them.
Final Art
I had to quickly change the resolution for the final art as it exceeded 25 mn from 300 resolution down to 200. I don't think there's a big difference. I completed the background by designing the mushroom and putting some blurred-out leaves on the background. I copied and pasted the other mushroom and put it in front. Lastly, I put some fireflies for some detail.
