I hope everyone is safe. We are experiencing a strong typhoon this week that caused a temporary blackout. Though it was a short time of no electricity, it had a big effect on people relying on internet and computer. The typhoon is getting weaker and out of the country.
That is just a little update from me.
For this week, I chose Janni Rebel.š
Art Process
I thought Janni Rebel was a gypsy, but she is more of a genie? I looked closer and realized she had no feet. Hmm, I should look up to the wikilore, hehe. So I just started with the blue sketch and then used a pencil-textured pencil for the lineart.
I like the color of her skin. Beautifully tanned. Low-key her hair reminds me of Princess Jasmine of Aladdin, hehe. I then added an layer on top to render the skin and hair. I wanted the eyes to be glowy so I applied some add-glow airbrush and some dark shadows on the upper eye part.
Applying the glows by using a soft airbrush and dilute it using a blur brush. I used different layers for different parts to control the density of the light. And then, I used a darker shade on the lower part for some contrast.
Final Art
Like on the original art, I also added some glowing orbs in white to a yellow shade. For some detail, I also added glitter and dust.
Finished art! āØ
