For this week, I chose Meriput Slinger. Very cute mouse. 😊
Art Process
It was hard to find a pose like this such that I typed on the words like slinger, cowboy, gallop, but I did not find any pose that I want so I just manually scrolled to Pinterest prompt. So instead, I found a kung fu pose and then modified the hand position. I used a solid pencil-texture brush for the lineart.
I then filled the spaces with the base colors. I chose an unsaturated pink, somewhat an old rose color for the background. And then, I added clipped layers for the shadows. Here, I am assuming that the light source is on the character's left side.
Using multiply layers, I worked more on the shadows on the opposite side. Using airbrush and blur brush, I blended in the colors to minimize the hard edges. I then incorporated the lights by adding a glow mode layer.
Final Art
I added a blur motion on the back as if the character moved, plus some smoke under to show some details. Finally, masking the canvas with a texture.
Finished art! ✨
