Hello cool cats, I hope you're having a slammin' weekend. We're celebrating 157 years as a country and what better way to celebrate than with some good old freaky deaky disco.
I put the video together in MS Clipchamp using all kinds of transitions and settings to get the desired effects. I was just experimenting a little to get to know the software and its capabilities. So, I hope you don't mind if it's a bit over the top.
The track is called Electric Nights, and I created it using Udio AI music generator. I prompted it to create some disco music with a modern twist. It generated some terrible stuff, but I thought this was a catchy tune. The lyrics and track title were generated by the software. I didn't have a clear plan for the track, but after listening to it, I began to visualize the video and then settled on a disco theme.
The images were generated using a combination of prompt terms and software settings. Terms such as disco, platform shoes, nightclub, seventies era, dancing, etc. defined the aesthetics of the pieces. I conducted an initial pruning of images, deleting those that I did not like. Then I imported the chosen images into Clipchamp and layered them on top of the music track. I experimented with transitions, timing, and transparencies. I wanted to keep the motion of the images in synch with music's tempo. Thankfully, I had plenty of media artifacts to work with. Some of the images included in this post didn't make it into the video, but I think they look cool.
Thank you for dropping by and joining the party. Have a funky weekend.
