Hello Everyone
How are you?
I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll be sharing the process of my drawing in this post. About my tools and how I drew a fan-art version of the original card that is quite different from the original.
The monster I drew today is named Captain Kaite. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach both my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-
My Drawing
Original Image
I usually sketch the character and then draw the borderlines to visualize the structure properly. But, I wanted to make this one full of colors and lineless. that's why I moved on to the coloring process directly. I used the spray brush tool to put the primary color. I'll be adding more layers of the primary color too.
You can see that I added the second primary color and blended them. You can see the result in the first image given below. After that, I started working on her facial details beginning with her eyes and eyebrows.
Then I completed my work on her facial skin, lips, and nose too. Had to add many layers on her cheeks and nose to make them look realistic and give the 3D image-type look on them. And now it's time to work on the whole body together. For that now I need to bring the color inside the borderlines. I also added some more layers to her body part too.
here is the image after adding the color layers and white brush strokes on her body skin to finalize it and visualize the glossy and shady parts on her skin.
In this step, I worked on her hair part. This is a new style and process of drawing hair that I learned from YouTube recently. It's much more complicated than the normal one and takes more time and affords to draw like this. But, this one looks way better to me and that's why I added this design in this character. Even though drawing all those strokes was painful and time-consuming, the final result was satisfying.
Now that all the processes like face, hair, and skin are done, it's time to get her some dress and visualize her attractive beauty effectively.
Final Image
And after some final touches and more detailing, here's the final image:
I hope you liked my drawing and the post. Please let me know what you think in the comment section. I'm open to any type of suggestion and criticism. Thank you for your time and for reading my post.
