Hey there!
I want to show you today what I've been working on for a long time, mainly in short bursts of intense arting once in a while (like once every two months π
).
Today I finally consider this Finished π€©π.
I started working on it in late 2021 just after watching the critically acclaimed series of Arcane, you know that one amazing series set in the universe of League of Legends, I really liked the aesthetic of it's characters, so I decided to do something of my own in my own style inspired on it, mainly Mel Medarda whose gold and black make up looks amazing.
My initial approach for this illustration was the usual, you know do sketches and then proceed to make the final line art as you maybe saw in this post back then:

After completing that I started working on the face and visible skin parts, at the time I was doing everything in a single layer as I thought I would finish it quickly and not do something as detailed as it did turn out in the end haha, the more I worked on it the more details I wanted to add, has something like that ever happened to you?
I really started to like how this starting to shape up but found a roadblock.
The artwork remained in this stage for some months mainly because I felt I needed to level up my skills a bit, So I started to do a bunch of studies with real life photos until I felt much more confident with what I could achieve.
So when I finally felt I was good enough I went on painting the outfit, starting with the pants, moving on with the shirt and the boots, finishing with the jewelry, although I had done the earring previously but the color was a bit off so I fixed it π.
I was going to leave things like this, but I felt this needed some sort of background to call it finished, quick options were some random splashes of colors which I've done before, or taking that same approach but with something that actually resembles a futuristic urban setting, so I went with this:
Someday I'll do a proper detailed background, maybe for another illustration π€ I think this one is quite good as is and I need to move on and paint other stuff.

Phew well I hope you enjoyed this long post as well as my Art β¨π
Cheers
PD: I've noticed my posts are largely ignored not sure if it's because I usually just make my posts with 2 or 3 images with a very short text/description so I'm trying something different this time to see if the larger post gets some more attention π€π.
