The very moment I saw the post for the contest, I knew instinctively that after searching for subjects to explore I would settle for a fruit. So it took me not by surprise when I was stick with this painting. The different shades of ink is something I always wanted to try and the time and event seemed probable so I went with it.
There was a time in my life when the insides of my mouth and gum were saggy. Then I was told to boost my Vitamin C intake which I did with the beautiful orange and its supplement.
I chose to represent this figure alone instead of a tree because I wanted to symbolize the fate of everyone woven by nature. Though we have species and families, yet in truth, we still are individually unique and alone.
