Hello everyone! I am back to creating another Splinterlands fan art. For this fan art, I have drawn Byzantine Kitty, a Legendary Summoner from the Untamed card set. I began by searching for cat references on the web and found this White Cat which served as inspiration for my fan art. Recently, I've developed a fondness for playing with cats in the neighborhood, which inspired me to create fan art once again. I started by creating line art using the Technical Pen. Next, I added flat colors based on the original card image's color palette. For the shadows, I added a layer on top of the flat colors and set it to Multiple mode. On this shadow layer, I used Salty Watercolor to apply darker shades and the Smudge Pen to blend the colors. Finally, I added a Soft Glow layer to add highlight to the body.
I drew the three characters separately because I wanted the flexibility to position them freely without affecting the others. As for the background, I used the Salty Watercolor brush once more to create a cloud-like image.
I chose to use Pastel Colors for this fan art because I find them relaxing and pleasing to the eye. As you can see in the original image, the Byzantine Kitty card features cute characters, and I wanted to use colors that would further highlight their cuteness. Although the Ferrets may look more like cute dogs in this fan art, I still find them adorable. š
