Starting with the sketch, the first crucial step in any drawing, I experimented with an unusual and dynamic pose that would convey Fina Voxom's strength and determination in a battle style. I love playing with poses and gestures to give life and personality to the characters I create, and this occasion was no different.
Following a guide and using a reference image of the character, I worked on the final sketch, adding some missing details, such as the arm at the back and an angry expression on Fina Voxom's face. Small elements that make the illustration eye-catching.
The next step was the line art, where I carefully outlined each part of the drawing. I opted for thinner lines at this stage, which took some getting used to, but eventually I loved how they brought out the details and sharpness of the image.
Then came the most exciting part: the color. I started by painting Fina Voxom's skin and then moved on to the rest of the character, applying shadows and highlights to create depth and dimension in the illustration. This stage is always a challenge, but it's where the drawing really comes to life and becomes something impressive.
To give a special touch and an air of action to the drawing, I added a speed effect typical of manga, which highlights the energy and movement of the character. In addition, I decided to incorporate a background of the Underworld superimposed in an orange tone, to accentuate the fiery atmosphere of Fina Voxom. I also added some extra lighting to highlight certain areas and give the illustration a more vivid touch.
