REVIVE | Butterflies

Back in April, pril, I had to move a bunch of work from my tablet to storage because I was running out of space. It's tedious but I try to go through everything and organize it all in folders. I found some finished pieces I wanted to publish and decided to upload a few pieces to my shop on Redbubble. I've been licensing art with Redbubble for about three years now, but it's always been more of a side project than anything else. I never really expected much from it until I had a sizable amount of designs up or magically became famous and in-demand for my art (a girl can dream, right?).

But then something unexpected happened after those uploads - my art got featured on the home page and I made my first sale! I was over the moon with my three whole dollars, and it got me thinking. I decided to give my shop a more cohesive look and focus on a specific art style. I brainstormed some collections and even came up with themes to work on each week (or maybe two weeks, let's be real). Now, I make it a point to start and finish a new piece every day, and if I'm lucky, I upload it to my shop the same day. Nothing elaborate, just simple pieces and I'm leaning on the whimsical and fantasy genre. It's been a fun and exciting ride so far!

I feel like I'm doing pretty well so far, even though I'm a bit of a busybody and juggling this with other art projects I'm into. I recently received some really nice feedback on one of my animations, which has motivated me to keep honing my skills.

The first theme is butterfly and this is the first piece. To be honest I wanted to name the collection 'Girls and Flowers' but settled for 'Garden' which I feel in more encompassing.

And different colour variations

A bientot!
