When i walked in the garden this morning i could hear the fly trying to escape from the web, it took me a while to find it in the ivy hedge.
When i came close i spotted something what looked like a green crabspider ,or even a cucumber green spider but it turned out to be a Nigma Walckenaeri .
First encounter for me and also for the fly it seems :)
The Nigma Walckenaeri i've spotted is according to wikipedia 5mm long and a female.
you can see the green small spider slightly out of focus in the bokeh
my guess is it bites the fly with venom
looks like a big catch for such a small spider
looks like the wings were damaged on escape atempts
hard to tell if it's dead already or just paralized by the venom
Spider hiding for thing with big lights [ that would be me ]
she is really hard to spot if you don't know where to look
looks like it died after all
dinner served for the Nigma spider
Although she still is in her hiding place
still not moving
and there comes the appetite
big meal for a small spider
