Good day this is my contribution to the #wednesdaywalk this week by @tattoodjay , since we already had a large walk in Breda during the Hive meeting earlier this week i decided to do a smal walk in the garden today, since it's develping vast at the moment new flowers and insects everywhere .
This white Paeonia started to flower for the first time in 5 years , i was really surprised and glad it finally started to flowerafter all these years.
The ants look also very pleased with the Paeonia they are very busy doing their thing
a closer view to the white Paeonia flower.
Dicentra spectabilis 'Alba' / Lamprocapnos spectabilis / bleeding heart / gebrokenhartje almost finished flowering
Echinops sphaerocephalus / glandular globe-thistle / kogeldistel first time flowering planted last year happy to see it is starting to flower.
The Verbena survived the winter and has already started to flower .
Alcea rosea / common hollyhock / stokroos has something on it's leafs stil no flowers insight .
Common poppy f2.0 wide open and soft
same angle different apperture and a little bit of flash light
a little less flash
and another one hard to pick a favourite for me
Pink snapdragons almost a meter high
different pink also a meter high
both pink snapdragons
That was the flower part for today , time for the insects that we spotted today.
The ants are still farming their aphids on some plants
It can be really crowdy on some plants
But the best way to get ride of your aphids is a ladybug larva, they eat them and they need loads of them to grow.
The predator and its prey
they don't really sit still a lot always moving and eating when they can.
And finally another predator , this small Jumping spider.
This tiny jumping spider sat on the garden door trying to get inside the house
look at all those hair
this one was +/- 1cm in length
shy at first wondering what that light was
and after this photo it deicide to atttack the light and jumped on my flash light .
I hope you have enjoyed the small walk in the garden , there is always something to show :)
