Good day to you all ,
Some little info on my way of making macro's i will try to make posts like this more often hoping it will help others to improve their skill of photography.
Today i will start with what is still think is the most important one make sure that your point of intrest is in focus.
With insects and spiders but also with human and other animal portraits
I always try to focus on the eyes.... cause our eyes will focus on that point.
That is also the main reason why i use Manual focus with my macro photography , the autofocus systems of most cameras don't detect the insect eyes corectly and will make the macro lens hunt back and forward until you subject is gone .
Some grasshopper shots :)
Nice example 1 , because the eye is in focus our eyes are automaticly focusing on that
And example 2 here is the eye slightly out of focus and your eyers are drawn to wards his hairy face .
and ok example 3 peeking over a parsley leaf 😁 , because the eyes are in focus behind the leaf our atention also goes that direction.
It's not that easy to get everything in focus all the time

All images are created by me with my Sony A6000 + Laowa Venus 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro with 2.5 - 5x magnification + Godox tt685s flashunit and Pringlers diffuser.
