wednesdaywalk in the garden..

in #hive-15966last year

Good morning, this is my contribution to #wednesdaywalk for me it wasn't a very long walk due to the cold temperture i had to stay in my garden.

All insects are left untouched , no photostacking and no tripod .
the photos with the Laowa ulltra macro lens are done on 2.5 magnification no crop .

It seems i wasn't the only one walking in my garden this morning, this lady bug was walking on the remains of a tulip

then it stopped to see if i was a threat or not, in the background you still see the dried petals of the tulips .

but it didn't seemed really bothered by the camera and lights.

on last shot of the ladybug before it flew away

small black ant on a pink geranium flower was also doing a wednesdaywalk it seems.

Sony A6000 + Panagor auto macro converter + Minolta MD Rokkor 50mm f1.7

the Oedemera nobilis / false oil beetle / fraaie schijnboktor was on the other hand still trying to wake up while sitting on the petal of a purple geranium flower.

and just when you think you can't get any closer

and then on top of the leafs of my choclate mint i spotted this Pyrausta aurata / Mint moth / Muntvlindertje
i didn't have the tools to measure it but according to wiki :
" Pyrausta aurata has a wingspan of 18–20 millimetres (0.71–0.79 in) "

Great captures. The 🐞 is impressive.

thank you Steeve , it's also tricky when you use extra lights since the shield tends to reflect it back to you.

Great photos, seems like a very interesting lens that Laowa.
Does that Panagor macro converter also decrease the focus distance, or only the magnification?

Thank you , the Laowa is somthing tricky to work with but if you get everything right the results are great.

the panagor also decreases your DOF , i just like to play woth odd lenses from the past , they are cheap to get .

Yes, I'm also like old lenses to play around with, seems like an interesting converter, if I see one someday I will probably pick it up.

And yes the results with the Laowa are amazing. Can image that it is a tricky lens to get everything right

nice and shiny indeed , makes it also a bit harder to use your flash lights , thank you for the votes and support

You captured some beautiful click's especially those purple click's

thank you , that lady bug was really a gift normally the run around like crazy this one was still a bit slow .

You are welcome, yes, you are right. They do.
Happy you found one that posed well 😎
Have a nice Wednesday!

WOW fantastic shots, that Laowa lens is awesome I know it must be a challenge as well but when you get it right the shots are fantastic

Do you take all these shots hand held and also do you use a flash or just natural light, it with natural light i think I am going to order one

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk, its my pleasure to host it and see all the posts each week from all around the world, including yours, if you have time visit some of the other walks this week there are so many interesting ones

i do use flash light because i work on f8 and most of the time in the shadows that way i stay in control of the light , the sun only comes in my garden after 11 am .
and yes i do take these photos hand held , i make sure to sit stable on the ground when i take these, but the focusing is alll done by hand moving the camera forward and backward and then press the release button.

i use the flash light with my pringler diffuser and sometimes i also use the LED ring light , downside of the LED ring it reflects on shiny subjects .

Thanks for the info, I do have a coupelof flashes and even a ring light which I seldom ever use, maybe its time I sharge up the batteries and give it a go

i put the sony cameras always on fill in flash to avoid overexposures

Thanks thats a handy tip to know
