I see a lady holding a half filled glass of wine, probably whiskey. I feel that the lady is dejected and reminiscing over the death of a precious person whom she denied some attention.
Catherine stood by the window simmering
The fresh air as it pervades the entire neighbourhood with arms akimbo
It was as if the world has come to an end
The decorated streets suddenly became
Unattractive and desolate for her
Her whole world has crumbled under her knees
She manages to steady her thoughts
But that was not to be
She staggers alittle and steadies her steps
Then slowly she walks towards the mini bar
She fetches the available whiskey
And empties its contents inside the glass cup
Slowly she returns to her former position
"This world is wicked", she manages to puff out
How can this happen to me?
Her eyes became reddish
She wears a sullen face
she drenches her sorrows
The whiskey became bitter
She stopped drinking
Held it out as if she wants
To pour some libations
But in all honesty
She was unwittingly confused
She recalls every details
Of their last meeting before
The tragic incident occured
"I should have said yes!!!"
Maybe that would have saved him too
I should have stopped all these madness
But now look at me:
Heartbroken, dejected, timid, worn out
"Can I wind back the hands of time?"
"Can he hear me calling?"
Can I.....umm, oh dear me!
The deed is already done.....
At that moment a crow flew by with a deadly screeching sound. Catherine heaved a big sigh.
Adios!!!
