The future is a time that no one can predict. It is often said that on one knows tomorrow. Just think about it, if most of us can really say what the future holds, I am sure that most of us will wish to be born in a particular family, place or country. This is part of the reason why our knowledge in this regard is limited, for if we know that, then we'll all be gods or demigods as the case may be.
A man has two sons and he decided to share his estate between them. The first son wanted to take the Eastern part of the land while the second son, who is always challenging the first son, insisted on taking that eastern part too. The father, in a bid to make peace asked the first son to leave the eastern part of the land to his younger brother and take up the western part. The first son reluctantly accepted.
Now, it is believed that the Eastern part is more fertile because the land is always greenish and table-like. It will be good for both agriculture and animal rearing. While the western part is much hilly and rocky too.
Over the years the second son was thriving with his chosen career..... agriculture. Soon explorers approached the first son for oil exploration within the western part of the land. It took them just a fortnight to strike the deal...crude and uranium! That's so much money for the first son.
At first, the explorers relocated him to a more expanse and fertile land to enable them explore the 'black diamond'. They'll also be paying royalty to the second son plus the prospect of employment to his family. The explorers had indeed opened doors for future wealth to the first son. So much was indeed given to him that quickly turned his fortunes positively. Nobody can easily predict what the future holds for anybody.
