Mana'olana...Hope.
I saw a glimpse of hope over those big tall mountains up ahead.
They were laughing at me because they knew I wont cross them
They were too rugged and dangerous for me to go.
I could die if I climbed on.
But I was struggling to see that Hope the locals were talking about.
I was curious to want to see it, taste it, feel it in my own two hands.
But the road to the mountain was rocky, narrow, and dark.
I could die. I could really die.
Still I push on to my journey even if the mountains were laughing and cursing me to give up.
I closed my eyes and rested under a tree.
I had to rest in order to find Hope.
Then I got back up and went on.
They were still laughing, if only I was just as big as them I would've punched them in the face.
But I am just human, I am small and frail.
I was about to die, but a few more steps, I could see Hope!
Just a few more, Legs! Just a few more, Lungs!
AH! Hope! There she is!
And the mountains frowned and went to sleep.
