Usually if you've done git config thingy for global settings of git to your github username and email, it might have asked for your password to push.Clone it again to w different directory, add your personal access token this time.

What stack is you usingwhat I do in such, is add my personal access token to the remote origin url in git config. It would push without asking for identification.
