When it comes to the dry season farming can be very hard and tough for the local farmers. The dry season is the best time for farmers to plant all their crops. They ensure that all the planting are done during the dry season, so what when the wet seasons come, it is for the crops to grow and bring forth good harvest.
Working on a farmland during this season can be very tough, especially for the local farmers who don't have sophisticated tools to make it easier for them.
Using Cutlass to cut the farmlands.
Most of the local farmers use the manual process in farming, one of it is using Cutlass to clear their farmlands. Looking at how the harsh the dry season is, they night find it very tough clearing this lands due to how hard the grasses and soil maybe. The grasses during the dry season are more tougher to bring down using the Cutlass, it will take huge amount of energy to successfully clear them.
Tilling the ground and planting.
Tilling the ground with hoes would also be tough, because the soil will be too stubborn to respond easily, all these affects the planting process, which can prolong the timing. The local farmers are not machine, they are humans, they will definitely need to rest after their hard labour.
With all the challenges that comes from planting during the dry season for the local farmers, it is still worth it, no one would want to wait for the wet season. Although the wet season offers a good soft environment and soil, but it still comes with it's own challenges, no one would want to be seen planting when it is the season for plants to grow.
In conclusion the dry season is harsh, but it is one of the best time preferred by local farmers to plant, so that before the wet season their crops will be ready to receive the required amount of nutrients needed for it to grow.
