Britney, a woman in her 70s, not wanting to feel bored all alone after her grandchildren left for Austin decided to plant a garden. It was a small portion of land in the corner of the house. She had planted a few vegetables which she watered every morning and evening. She plowed the land and poured dungs to ensure the land was fertile for a healthy growth of the plants and she checked them out for pests and rodents that may eat the young bud. She was glad to see that the vegetables she planted were growing well.

The plants were two weeks old when they started to grow weeds. Even though the weeds were still young, she felt it was better for her to weed them earlier before they overshadowed the plants which were still young. She still remembers how she was supposed to weed a garden. Her granddaughter had told her gardens are weed in a different way and showed her how she was supposed to do it.

Mrs. Britney took a small hoe the next morning and went to the garden. She started by picking up the smaller weed with her hands before she proceeded to till some soil around the plants. She had her hand gloves on and wore her long sleeve purple dress which her granddaughter bought for her specifically for the farm. She found joy doing it. She had always wanted to keep a garden but she had little time for rest or to do other things working as an accountant. She felt now was a perfect time after her retirement. She couldn't wait to eat from the produce of her garden

"Hello agmore, my garden is growing beautifully and the plants are three weeks old now, soon I'll eat from the vegetables" Britney told her daughter on phone who only laughed and asked that she keep some for her to recommend how well she has done.
