I got in my writing spirit today and decided to cook up some quick fiction. This was probably inspired by some movie I watched recently but I can't really remember. Anyway, enjoy!

"Are You Crazy?", the old man yelled at him, "Do you want to kill me?"
Tensely, he pressed against the door, opened it and came down from the car. "I'm sorry sir," he said brusquely. "But it wasn't my fault".
He didn't even budge as the man stood there scolding him. All he wanted was to get home. He left furiously. The images of Mary filled his head again and he didn't even notice the man crossing the road. He was fed up.
"I have to confess," he thought. This was the first time a confession had crossed his mind since that night. The night he killed Mary drunk driving. His past was literally haunting him. Neighbours had even begun to think he was mad as he would run out at night claiming to have seen her ghost.
With his mind made up, he made a U-turn for her parent's house. Spurred by the possible freedom, he a burst of speed. His yearning to live free drove him hard, hard into the ditch that killed him. Maybe now he would be free.
