An irate employee upon knowing another colleague of his is granted an opportunity to attend an overseas training seminar stormed into the office of his supervisor.
"Did you authorise this? Why is Jolin being sent for overseas training but I am not?"
This employee was feeling unjustified as in a scheduled monthly check in expressed interest in attending overseas training to improve himself but was told by his supervisor that the company is unable to approve his request in view of the market condition requires the company to be more prudent in their spending. But today, upon hearing that his colleague will be going on an overseas training, he couldn't control his anger. In terms of years of service, he was supposed to be the next to go, but he wasn't even made known of any travelling opportunities until today.
His supervisor shared with him, it is not that the company did not consider to let him attend the training, but for this particular case, the training was sponsored by a grant specifically for female employees of a certain age group. And this is why he was not being considered at all. Ashamed by his reckless rage, he apologized and left his supervisor's office.
