I see him take the money meant for the poor, Build big houses and lock the door.
The roads stay broken, the lights don’t glow,
While he lives in a palace with rivers that flow.
Desperate to keep his power and fame,
He tricks us all, plays a sly game.
He lies and cheats, says, “Trust in me,”
But his greed is clear for all to see.
I hear the children cry, “We need to learn!”
I see the mothers sigh, “When will we earn?”
I watch the fathers work, but their pay is small,
While the leader takes it, greediest of all.
But I know one day, we’ll open our eyes,
We’ll see through his tricks, his web of lies.
We’ll stand together, strong and brave,
And demand the change we truly crave.
For a leader’s job is to serve and care,
To lift the people, their burdens to bear.
And when the impostor falls from his throne,
Nigeria will rise, and the truth will be known.
So I remember this tale, both young and old,
A leader’s heart should be pure as gold.
For Nigeria grows when its leaders are true,
And the people’s power will always shine through.
