It is said in our local dialect that, "aboa bi b3ka wo aa, na 3firi who ntoma mu". Which means or translates as if an animal will beat you, then it is probably in your cloth. What this means is that those who tend to hurt the most, those who can cause us a lot of damage or harm are those who are closest to us.
The thing is that when you know your enemy you keep your guard up, you can protect yourself better and you do not do anything that would compromise your safety in that regard however the more difficult situation comes in when that individual whom you believe to be your friend turns out to be an enemy within.
Because of your lack of knowledge your guard is down and the most damage is inflicted on you, whiles you may be wishing good for the person close to you, he or she may be plotting your downfall, they may be smiling at your whiles you share your secret, only for them to use it against you in the days ahead, only if you knew but you couldn't have known.
Does that mean that we ought not to trust anyone or share our life with anyone? Not, we cannot let the fear of whom to truly trust and who is truly our friend keep us from enjoying life to the fullest, instead, we can only hope and pray that the people who are in our lives, those we can be friends are not bad nuts, are not enemies within seeking to devour us. May we attract good people into our lives so that we may continue to flourish.
