-I see a sea gull flying above the ocean, wings spread.
-I feel the bird is happy, free and searching for food.
Kara flew around the beach, happily spreading her wings and occasionally skimming the surface of the ocean with her feet. She wasn't just any bird, she was a seagull and nothing made her more happy than the ocean with plenty of fish and a beach littered with treats from humans, especially chips. Kara loved chips.
“Ahh life is good” she said to herself, perching on land. She was excited when she saw her friends flying towards her.
“Hello Tara, Hello Miko, Hi Freda, I see you're back from your travels eh?” she said.
“Yes Kara, we knew we would find you here” Freda replied.
Kara settled down to listen to their delightful stories about the other city they had migrated to briefly.
A few minutes later, her stomach growled, reminding her of why she'd come out in the first place. Her mama was in the nest taking care of her newly hatched siblings, and Papa had finally agreed to let Kara fend for herself.
“Maybe next time I'll go with you guys. See you guys at sunset” she said, going to search for chips.
“Aha!” she exclaimed happily upon discovering some on the beach. She grabbed them and ate them happily. After eating as many treats as she could find, she decided to take a swim.
“Nice appetizers and exercise, now for the main course” she said, flying above the ocean and watching intently until she spotted a fish. Swooping down, she grabbed it joyfully and headed to the nest.
“I brought lunch mama, come have some” she called happily when she arrived.
“Good girl, but papa has taken care of us already, enjoy your meal. No chips today?” her mama asked.
“Mama, you know me too well,” Kara replied laughing, “I ate some at the beach”.
She shared her meal with her siblings, who seemed to be always hungry. After eating, Kara decided to rest a little before flying off again to meet her friends at the beach, where she would play and finally get a good night's rest close to the ocean.
