Nia, the littlest of the flock, was scared and cold, shivering in the dark. Lost and wandering in the woods. She had been separated from her flock during the storm. Now she seeks her way home, bleating loudly in the woods.
Perched on a tree the old owl called out to her.
"Hoo hoo hoo. Are you lost?
Nia looked up, seeing the old owl, she explained her current predicament to him.
Nia explained her situation. The owl offered, "Follow the stream, it'll lead you to the farm."
She thanked him and followed the river. Along the way, she met Gus the Goose having an evening bath.
"Honk, honk, honk! Little Nia, are you lost?" Gus asked.
Nia explained to him her ordeal and how she had met the old owl on the way.
"Keep following the stream. For it will lead you home. But be careful, for the ugly wolves lurk around the dark corners of this woods," he warned.
Nia thanked him and continued on her journey. A few miles ahead she met Moobit the cow in his cozy little barn.
"Moo moo moo. Little Nia, what are you doing in the woods?".
Nia went ahead to explain how she got lost to Moobit.
"You're a brave one Nia. Keep following the stream, it'll take you home. But be mindful of the wolves; they roam this woods," she warned.
Nia thanked her and kept moving.
Just a few miles from home. Nia was ambushed by a pack of ugly wolves. She didn't know what to do. Standing there scared, she heard the hoofs of a thousand sheep, united and coming her way and to her rescue. "Bash baah baah!" they screamed with bravery.
The wolves sensed they couldn't fight such a large number of sheep. Fled to safety.
Nia reunited with her family and they lived happily ever after.
