Emma was walking in the streets. As she was doing that, she would hear the murmurs of conversation from people. One woman was particularly worried about her dog, she was on the phone with her vet and she was very anxious about her dog's health declining.
She thanked god she doesn't have a major problem or issue in her life. The street was noisy, and she was exhausted from work, so she sat down in a park.
She took out her mobile phone from her bag and checked her Instagram account. She saw that one of her ex-boyfriends who got a new girlfriend recently has commented on one of her photos, which was her in a bathing suit near the sea. He commented, “You look gorgeous!” Emma, knowing that he has a new girlfriend, liked his comment and put her phone in her pocket.
After a few moments, she received a text from him saying he wants to have a coffee sometime and the sooner, the better because he has something important to tell her.
They meet up and Jason tells her his father has got cancer. And he is dying soon, and he wants to go to his homeland to stay with him for his last days, and he wants her to take care of his dog Fluffy.
“Why don't you ask your new girlfriend to do it?” Emma asked Jason.
“Because she is not good with dogs, she hardly knows how to take care of herself, let alone a dog!” Jason replied.
Emma was proud of her boyfriendless problemless life, but when she saw Fluffy, she immediately changed her mind about responsibility.
“Yes, I will take care of her, you go take care of your dad,” Emma said smiling knowing she is doing the right thing.
“I knew you would take care of her! Thanks a million!” Jason said.
