Jason is eight now, but he thinks deeply about stuff. He thought about how he would feel about colors when he grew old. Will they inspire the same feelings in him? will his eyes be able to see colors so clearly as he sees them now that he is just a child?
Jason asked his mother about this because he was just so curious to know the answer. His mother told him that time will go by very fast and before he knows it, he will become an old man and he most probably has to wear glasses to be able to see colors more clearly. And about feeling, he will be more "mature."
Jason was happy and sad at the same time, because he thought that even though he can see colors with glasses, but his feelings would change over time. They become "mature" as his mother told him. He wasn't sure what "mature" meant really even though his mother explained it to him: "mature means fully-grown."
How could his feelings about colors grow? Jason thought about this for long until he was 9 and he remembered how he felt about colors when he was 8 and it was then that he understood the meaning of "mature."
