This is my attempt at short story using the freewrite prompt.
In the town of acorn hill the population was reducing every year. People were leaving. However the senior people living near the old mill continue to thrive. For some reason they kind of kept the ecosystem going with the farming, water management and hydroponics going on nice.

The oil mill had a history of the murder and it was empty yet the people lived nearby had no issues. It seems those who died in the mill caused no harm and went past into afterlife despite brutal death.
The old mill had a lot of stories to tell but unfortunately those would remain untold.
