In my mind's eye all I see are those who felt they had it all being stuck in the traffic of life

What I feel is the reality of life

"Right after my graduation from
secondary school that year, I gained admission to study my dream course. The only course I have practiced always all my life. I was just sixteen then. Very fresh and young. My brain was really active. Joyfully, I left home for school

It was as if I was the only one or let me just say among the few that luck shun on.

To me then, my friends were no longer in my level. I was a young undergraduate with a promising course. A professional course in my country. I was a law student. To me, life was all rosy and good. I barred all connections with my secondary school friends.

I began to enjoy life as a school babe. I wore more attractive and expensive wears. I rather go broke than not buy any trending stuff.

At twenty_two I graduated with a first class. I was a party girl but my studies were not left beneath. I later went for my one year youth service.

At a twinkle of an eye, things changed from what I used to hear and think about life. For more than a year, I had no job. Job hunting was very depressing. Day by day I crawled into my shell. I became non vibrant.

One day during my job hunting, I stumbled across my secondary school mate. She was never vibrant in school. She was even a dullard. She only picked a little during our last days in school. When I was in school, I saw her one day hawking fruits in the streets. I looked down on her. She joyfully jumped up to embrace me but I waved her off. She was no where near my level. She was embarrassed but I didn't care.

I later got to know that she was successfully running a business of her own. The exquisite hair salon before my eyes was hers. She was living fine. Driving her own car and living in her own house. Her husband owned one of the best malls in town. I later got to know she wasn't even a graduate.

I moved spaciously with speed in an attractive circle but was stopped on the way.

But she..., She moved slowly in a single lane. Yet she moved freely without obstruction. And even faster than I."

[When I saw this image, all that came to my mind was life. The main truth about life. The fastest at a start might not be the first to get to the required destination]

I recognize both characters in your story. You never know how your story will end. It's better to keep people close and not look down on those who never graduated. In the end workers will be needed most.
