Danny used to be a proud young man, always trying to feel on top and seen as the cutest guy on campus. He do iron his clothes always and spent more time on his looks than he did on his books. He seldom attends lectures and when he does, he comes in late and always through the front door so as to be noticed by the whole class and most especially, the ladies.
He do deride any guy that happens to stand with a lady he wanted and he won't double check his words before spraying them out like a the bullets going out of a machine gun set at automatic.
But just a few months back, he had gotten a treatment that will keep him humble for a very long time, if not for life. He had been pranked by a couple of secret enemies and he had been dealt a cruel blow, to his looks actually.
He shares a hostel room with Mike, a guy he once cheated out of a lady. Still smarting from the humiliation of that encounter, Mike had patiently been devising a means to get back at him.
Danny had just bought a hair cream that he usually uses to perm his hair and makes it look shiny black. He kept it on his locker and went to take a bath, seeing an avenue to strike back, Mike and two other boys in the room poured a mildly acidic liquid into the cream and it went down leaving the top untampered with.
Danny had used the cream as usually and few days later, his hairs started coming off in strands and before the week ran out, he head was looking like an overgrazed patch of pasture.
He went badly bald and since then, he had become a humble student.
