Today my heart overflows with joy to see you happy, smiling with that brightness that lights up my world. I have nothing left but to let you go, to let my thoughts drift away in the wind that takes them away from you.
I surrender my love to the gusts that will scatter it like stardust through the infinite universe.
My poems will become songs that will travel far, far away to where you are. My books will burn in the bonfire of memories, but their ashes will eternally write your name.
For though I must say goodbye to you today, I will always smile at your joy and thank the heavens for having known you.
At this moment, my soul is flooded with indescribable joy to know that at last you are free and fulfilled. And my heart, still torn, releases you with its last breath to fly to the happiness you so richly deserve.
