Bireuen Government Distributes Panic Assistance for Flood and Landslide Disaster Victims.
The Bireuen Regency Government, Aceh Province, through the Social Service distributed panic assistance for flood and landslide disaster victims in Krueng Simpo and Ranto Panyang Villages, Juli District, Tuesday, January 28, 2024.
Panic assistance was distributed to Samsul Bahri and Saiful Imran, they are residents of Ranto Panyang Village, Juli District, whose houses were affected by the incident.
Panic assistance was also distributed to Jumini Saki and Zulfahmi M Kasah, their houses were damaged at the back due to river erosion. They are residents of Krueng Simpo Village, Juli District.
The Head of the Bireuen Social Service through the Chairperson of the Disaster Preparedness Cadet Coordinator Forum (Tagana), Zulfikar GA said that the assistance was handed over directly to the victims involving the Disaster Preparedness Cadet Team (Tagana). The assistance distributed was in the form of basic necessities and other necessities.
He hopes that this assistance can meet the needs and ease the burden of the victims.
"This assistance is a form of concern from the Bireuen Government for the disaster victims, hopefully with this panic assistance it can ease the burden of the victims. Said Zulfikar.
Zulfikar added that after the disaster the flood water had receded, three houses were damaged in the kitchen area due to landslides. Said Zulfikar.
For information, the heavy rain that hit the Bireuen area on Monday, January 27, 2025 night caused the Krueng Simpo River to overflow, the incident occurred at around 19.30 WIB.
The overflow of the Krueng Simpo River caused flooding in Ranto Panyang Village, two houses were affected in the village and one unit in Krueng Simpo Village. Heavy rain in the area also caused three houses to be hit by landslides in the kitchen area of the house.
