O ARTS!

O ARTS!

O Arts,
I observed Aristotle, Dante, Plato, and Socrates has the 'T' alphabet in common so I chose to be Fortunatus.

Do not let me hold their convictions dear but may my mind flow with inspiration as theirs, a mind moved by life's experiences and observations, pushing the pen into spontaneous writing capable to shake the world like Alexander the Great.

You once told me to member my own words, so I beg, may the words I choose be my eye now and when I'm no more.

Dear Arts, I do not dread an afterlife in hell nor do I long for philosophers to become kings, but I'm sanguine the future is luminous. All I seek is to be inspirited to give back what I received for free, to tell generations now and unborn the intentions of the Ancient of days.

Amongst your three, I desired to slave for the next to the first, to be taught under her feet, to drink from her breast, to master all she had been extolled of and be laud in like manner.

I'm Fortunatus, I believe much is gotten but much more is required. Dear Arts, do leave me with one of your valuable possessions before you pass by. I'll always be grateful for the pen, but the ink is slowly fading away.

May your days be longer than your contemporaries!!
