The path ahead is a dusty line,
I have decided to leave behind what used to shine.
My heart that was once heavy and full of tears,
Now walks with lighter steps, dispelling fears.
The sun breaks through the cloudy sky,
Leaving a gentle touch on me and that's a reason to try.
The tears I cried have dried away,
It has been replaced by the hope for a brighter day.
The sadness fades my memory now,
Like footprints that's washed by the ocean's flow.
I plant new dreams like seeds unseen,
Trying to reach for the sun with steps unseen.
My shadow linger from what's been done,
But my future's light has just begun.
I forgive and that's a whisper that's so soft and kind,
I Let go because that's the peace I find.
The world unfolds, with arms held wide,
And with open hearts, I leave the past behind.
I gently lay yesterday's hurt to rest,
As I embrace the dawn, and start anew which is for the best.
